Giving Tuesday 2018

November 27th is is Giving Tuesday - a day to give back to the community. We've teamed up with some local businesses to feature their favorite charities. Listen from 6a - 6p on November 27th to learn more about each charity.

Mennenga Tax & Financial Service's featured charity for Giving Tuesday is East Madison Community Center. 

  • The East Madison Community Center was established in 1966 to promote educational, recreational, and community activities for all citizens in its service area. The EMCC strives to enhance the opportunities of as many individuals and groups as possible, with the assistance of public and private funds, and with the support of paid and volunteer staff. The EMCC serves nearly 5,000 individuals each year throughout 10,584 hours of diversified programming options.

Tri State Basement Repairs' featured charity for Giving Tuesday is Greater Richland Area Cancer Elimination. 

  • Greater Richland Area Cancer Elimination, Inc. works to fund cancer research, education, and to assist cancer patients. GRACE was formed over 15 years ago and in total has raised in excess of $3.4 million to support out their vision and mission. When the bad news is cancer, the Good News is GRACE.

JSM Properties' featured charity for Giving Tuesday is Madison Needs Network. 

  • The Madison Needs Network provides basic needs in our community through ongoing, interconnected, and collaborative campaigns. They confer with other local organizations to better understand the intricacies of needs in our community, and then address those needs by mobilizing around the collection of material resources. In a city full of non profit organizations, the Madison Needs Network looks for gaps in services.

The Gardner Company's featured charity for Giving Tuesday is Sunshine Place - Sun Prairie. 

  • The Sunshine Place serves as the community resource center providing access to over 14 programs to our community. Their mission is to serve our neighbors during their time of need. They provide access to basic necessities such as food, clothing, beds, school supplies, and more. Annually, Sunshine place provides well over 51,000 acts of kindness.
