Remember The Christmas Dream?

December 5, 2016

In 1974, Andrew Lloyd Weber & Tim Rice (Yup, the Phantom of the Opera guys, among others...) wrote the score for a movie called The Odessa File. A movie about intrigue and former Nazis, it is widely looked upon as a classic thriller for its day.

The taut and engaging movie contains a holiday gem that offers a sentiment in stark contrast to the subject matter, even more so because it's delivered by the one of the kings of Christmas crooning, the man with a million sweaters, Mr. Perry Como. Add in some German lyrics and a boys choir and it's all just very... well... Christmas.

Give it a listen and see if brings back some holiday memories for you like it does for me. Enjoy! - Mo
